Faith and Allie met in first grade, having been in the same class and ridden the same bus. Neither of them really remember how they became friends save one wonderful night when they made cupcakes. They’re in college now, and they’re still best friends. The two discovered a love of watching and critiquing movies together through the latter’s love of watching Hallmark Christmas movies for their shallow plots, minimal casting, and continuity errors. Allie doesn’t watch a lot of movies, and has yet to see many classics, whereas Faith absolutely loves horror, Marvel, and Juliette Lewis movies. The two formed the blog to watch more movies and share their (chaotic) opinions with the world. We’ve been told we have “unrealistic expectations about what a movie should be.” We disagree.

Allie is currently taking a gap year, but is technically a college sophomore. She’s pursuing musical theatre and political science/international relations with plans to both be on Broadway and reform the domestic prison system. Though her favorite art is musical theatre, she enjoys TV like How to Get Away with Murder and Psych. She doesn’t have a list of favorite films, but enjoys historical fiction, murder mysteries, and the incredible classic Christmas Mail. She believes that criticism of media should speak to how the piece reflects or comments on society as it stands, or as we wish it to be. Her alignment is Lawful Neutral, as type A neurotic as one can be while still passionately driven towards her goals.

Faith is a pre-med college sophomore. She’s pursuing a medical degree in the field of anesthesiology. She knows one of the two of the two of them has to be rich. Faith loves video games like Resident Evil and Red Dead Redemption, and all things that belong to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Her favorite movie is What’s Eating Gilbert Grape, but she also loves films like Kill Bill and hidden gems from the 80s and 90s like Freeway. Criticism from Faith comes from two places: her heart and whichever part of the brain controls comedy. Her alignment in Chaotic Good; she has huge goals and a willingness to work for them, but the path that she walks is so strikingly her own.
